Realtek Semiconductor Corp., one of the world’s leading network and multimedia IC providers, launched the worldwide first 4K UHD set-top box SoC (RTD1311) that integrates AV1 video decoding and multiple Conditional Access System (CAS) functions.

Realtek’s RTD1311, incorporating a powerful ARM CPU, is the first to integrate the new AV1 decoder video technology. The chip also supports HEVC 1080P encoder, all HDR standards, diverse output interfaces such as HDMI 2.1, USB3.0, and PCI-e, along with built-in far-field voice recognition. The RTD1311 integrates various Middleware and CAS functions to offer the best solution platform for set-top boxes. In addition, the RTD1311 has a built-in DVB-C demodulator and multiple TS interfaces to respond to different signals of Cable and Satellite simultaneously. Realtek is one of the few silicon vendors to possess a complete portfolio encompassing Bluetooth remote control unit and Wi-Fi chip solutions, which ultimately simplifies the system integration process for ODMs. 

The RTD1311 is a dedicated set-top box SoC that meets far-field voice, secure encryption, and Wi-Fi network requirements. It not only improves the user experience, but also enables the set-top box to play a key and creative role in the home media center.

Realtek’s representatives will attend BroadcastAsia 2019  (18 June~20 June, at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre), and will be available to meet with end customers at the venue to answer customer questions.
